Derek Hough is an American professional dancer, choreographer, actor, and television personality best known for his work on Dancing with the Stars.

Hough was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and grew up in a family deeply connected to dance. As a teenager, he moved to London to train at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, where he studied multiple dance styles along with music and theater.

He gained widespread recognition as a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars from 2007 to 2016. Hough became the most successful dancer in the show’s history, winning a record six championships.
