Cedric the Entertainer is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and television host. He rose to prominence hosting BET’S ComicView (1993–94) and Def Comedy Jam (1995), and later co-starred with Steve Harvey on The Steve Harvey Show. A member of The Original Kings of Comedy, he also appeared in hit films such as Barbershop, where he played Eddie Walker.

Cedric has hosted the 12th season of the daytime Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (2013–14) and starred in the TV Land series The Soul Man (2012–2016). His voice work includes major animated films like Ice Age, the Madagascar series, Charlotte’s Web, and Planes.

He currently stars in the CBS sitcom The Neighborhood, and in 2019 he received a star on the Hollywoood Walk of Fame.
