Grand Funk Railroad (part of their 2026 tour; classic rock legends known for hits like “We’re an American Band,” “Some Kind of Wonderful,” etc.) will be at Seneca Allegany Resort Casino on May 2, 2026.

Grand Funk Railroad is a legendary American rock band formed in 1969 in Flint, Michigan, emerging from the ashes of Terry Knight and the Pack. They quickly became one of the biggest rock acts of the early 1970s, known for their raw, hard-driving sound, extended jams, and electrifying live performances that packed stadiums across the U.S.

The classic lineup—Mark Farner, Don Brewer, and Mel Schacher—delivered a string of massive hits including “We’re and American Band”, “Some Kind of Wonderful,” “I’m Your Captain (Closer to Home),” and “The Loco-Motion.”  At their peak, Grand Funk Railroad sold millions of records, earning multiple gold and plaatinum albums and becoming one of the best-selling bands of their era.

Though the band went through breakups and lineup changes, Don Brewer continues to carry the Grand Funk legacy on the road today. More than five decades later, Grand Funk Railroad remains celebrated for its influence on hard rock and its enduring reputation as a powerful, no-frills live band that connects deeply with fans.
