Van Helen: Hagar is perhaps best known for replacing David Lee Roth as lead singer of Van Halen in 1985. During his tenure, the band released several successful albums, including 5150, OU812, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, and Balance. Fans often debate Van Halen eras, but Hagar’s period is sometimes referred to as the “Van Hagar” era.

Business Ventures: Hagar is a successful entrepreneur, most famously founding Cabo Wabo Tequila and the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He eventually sold a majority stake in the tequila brand for millions.

He’s also involved in other spirits and lifestyle ventures, including a rum brand and hot sauces.
